WINTER 2007

MTC REDESIGNS PRODUCT LINE

The new year brings with it new changes and a fresh look to MTC products and training.  "We have completely re-designed and packaged our product line in order to offer increased quality and economy to our Customers.", says co-owner Cheri Torres.  "By re-packaging our training tools, Customers will be able to establish a budget and build their ropes courses over a period of time while delivering exciting, high-impact training each step of the way."

The range of products begins with small, portable F.U.E.L. Packs designed to get people Fired Up and Engagned in Learning.  These handy kits are easily transported and offer a wide range of activities that teach leadership, stress management, conflict resolution, teambuilding, collaboration and problem-solving.  Beyond the F.U.E.L. Packs, larger ropes course equipment is divided into component kits that allow the Customer to deliver quality training while building a complete portable course over time.  The complete package, the Performance Plus Ropes Course, provides over 280 activities that can accomodate large groups and manage multiple groups at the same time.  With the addition of our new Collaboration Upgrade, over 300 activities will be possible.

Each component of the new product line includes detailed documentation that provides activity instructions, safety guidelines, facilitation strategies and downloadable handouts.  "More importantly", Co-Owner Carolyn Rainey Weisenberger adds, "our products now include training to assure that facilitators have the skills as well as the tools they need to get people Fired Up and Engaged in Learning!"  In the coming weeks, you will be seeing additional details about these new products on our website.  Meanwhile, contact us at info@mobileteamchallenge.com for more information.

MTC and INDIA: A Fit for the Future

MTC has taken its global reach to a new level and a new audience.  Co-Owner Cheri Torres recently conducted our first "Webinar", online training seminar, reaching an audience of nearly 400 participants worldwide.  Offered as part of the world-class training program at India-based Satyam Computer Services, Ltd., the workshop engaged Satyam associates around the globe including India, Australia, Asia, Europe and the U.S.

Satyam is a leading global consulting and IT services company employing more than 23,000 IT professionals serving over 452 companies, including more than 155 Fortune 500 corporations.  Their operations span 53 countries crossing 6 continents.  The company believes its core values of Belief in People, Entrepreneurship, Customer Orientation and Pursuit of Excellence are manifested through the cohesion and productivity of teams.  "MTC's strengths-based approach to teambuilding is a great fit with the Satyam philosophy", noted Torres, "This company believes 'Every Satyamite is a Leader' and we couldn't agree more."

Entitled "Appreciative Inquiry in Daily Living:  Creating Dynamic Relationships", this inaugural webinar was designed to introduce Satyam leadership to Appreciative Inquiry and how the Principles of AI can help them become the best possible leaders for the organization.  Torres observed, "This was a whole new communication medium for us and the Satyamites were a great group to work with!  They engaged in lively online chat and telephone dialogue throughout the webinar.  I am amazed at what technology allows us to do in the world."

22 DDRs and Counting

With the recent addition of the New York Air National Guard, MTC now has equipment in use by 22 Drug Demand Reduction Units throughout the US and its territories.  DDR units provide trained personnel as well as specialized equipment and facilities to support local law enforcement agencies and community organizations in their response to drug use and abuse.  MTC equipment and training has been in use since 1995, most especially in outreach to youth.  It offers a hands-on, high-impact approach that engages and energizes young people.  In work with local school officials, one officer reports that "...we can greatly enhance their efforts to help these young people regain the positive self-image and build other resiliency factors necessary for a successful recovery".
